Snails Trail Quilt

It has been a while since I have posted but here is what I am working on ….

I have to say that this is one of the easiest quilting blocks to sew. You just start with a Four Patch Block and keep added larger and larger triangles . I intend to add the instructions shortly. I love the movement of this pattern and it is great pattern for a two colour quilts. Life has been busy here in the Canadian Rockies. We have had a long and drawn out winter. I have been sitting quietly with a book and a cup of strong English tea with a spot of milk and maybe a biscuit or two for dipping nearly every day! The book that I am reading is called A Bookshop in Berlin. I just love historical novels that open up new worlds, that teach resilience and remind me how blessed we are to live in this country. I am learning to enjoy every day with all that it brings. Today is the first lovely warm day in what seems like ages.

I hope you too are enjoying life as it is with all its beauty. You will let me know.

Lately I am attracted to blue fabrics. I think because it reminds of the ocean and the beautiful blue skies we have here! Here is the first sign of spring in my garden………..

It is getting late and time to make tea! I shall upload the pattern for the snails trail quilt shortly. Until then remember to add one simple act of beauty to each day… creating one block of your treasured quilt, sipping tea from your favorite mug, cutting fresh flowers for your table … you know what feeds your soul! Big hugs, Dee xx
